Tube Calls
Tube calls are one of the most under-used turkey calls. A good many experienced turkey hunters use tubes as a "go to" call when nothing else is working. "Cuz" Strikland uses a tube call for a locator call. He says "A tube call can make a dead turkey gobble". A tube call is a fairly loud call, but can easily be toned down by adjusting the amount of air run through the call. Tubes may be a little more difficult to learn to use, but are well worth the effort. When mastered, they can make every sound a turkey makes including purrs and kee-kees. These calls can make a difference in your success if for no other reason than they are not heard often by the turkeys.
I have .004 and .006 latex. I supply each call with 2 pieces of latex, the O-ring, and a lanyard. If the latex thickness isn't requested I will supply one of each. Because of the width of wood needed for the design, ask for wood availability. My tube calls are between 2" and 2.75" long.
Price
$30.00 and up plus postage Extra latex reeds .60 cents apiece.
